About Us

John Bulgrin was born and raised in the Portage, Wisconsin area. He grew up on a second generation dairy farm, and enjoyed 350 acres of wildlife. Every second while not in school or working, he would spend either hunting or fishing. John brings 30 years experience in the outdoors. Realizing his dream and passion for the outdoors, John started Wisconsin Outdoor Adventures in 2006, after a successful 25 year career in manufacturing management. He is married to wife Heidi, and has one daughter, Amanda.
Our guiding staff all share John’s passion for the outdoors. Combined, they have 140 years of experience hunting and fishing in the Portage, Wisconsin area.
We are located in historical Portage, Wisconsin, approximately 30 miles north of our state capital, Madison, Wisconsin.
